I didn't want to cover the view of Cannon Mountain outside my window, which is why these are perfect. They have a slim tuck away when they are open. Half open gives me some privacy, but let's me enjoy the view. The are not full blackout, yet they have the perfect darkness for a full night's rest. It took me 1 hour to unpack and install 8. I would suggest predrilling with a fine bit.

Took a chance on these blinds. Reviews looked good and they have the pull down feature that works great in my ground level apartment. Size is exact so measure well. Everything you need to do the install comes in the box. Except drill of course. (you dont NEED a drill, but I like to pre-drill my screws. Less chance of splitting the trim) Installation was a bit tricky, but that was not the products fault. I put non standard trim around my windows.. Ive had them up for a year now and they still look and work Like they did the day I installed them.

Great light blocking!
Does a great job of blocking out light so we can sleep in when the sun come up at 4:30 a.m. during the summer! Our application was a skylight in a cathedral ceiling bedroom. We did not have easy access to 120V power in the attic so we ordered the DC version with a solar panel. So far so good with closing at night and opening in the morning. Looks great and has quiet operation. The photo is on a cloudy day about 1/2 open. It was an install 14' in the air so I would strongly suggest making sure it work as it should on the table before lifting it into place!
